The jury leaned towards aquittal. The defense presented enough evidence for a resonable doubt. The prosecution had ample time to prepare and couldn't provide enough evidence to garnish a guilty plea. Don't waste tax payers money with a second trial. Drop the charges!

Officer Kerrick did what he was trained to do as a law enforcement officer. I think this trial was wrong, and to have the civil suit AND payoff to the family before a trial should not have happened. I support Officer Kerrick!

The first Mecklenburg County grand jury would not charge Officer Kerrick and the jury could not convict today. Do not charge him again. He is innocent.

Officer Kerrick is innocent. He Just did his job. I am demanding that this officer is NOT retried. And given his job back and back pay and a settlement and his defense paid for by the state of NC. I voted for u every single time Roy Cooper. And I like you. But if this is NOT made right, I will NOT vote for you on anything u ever run for. Drop any and ALL charges. Do not retry Officer Kerrick!!!

Before they try to re try, the AG office needs to go do a Friday or Saturday night ride along with cmpd, so they can see the challenges they face every day and key them make choices that show them they have to act to protect themselves. Praying for office kerrick
