No training manual is going to help when a person is in an actual situation - what page was that on in the manual? How did this family get 2 million dollars before this trial was even under way. I agree Officer Kerrick should sue the City of Charlotte for what they put him through - what happened to "we support our own"????

The first trial was to appease a minority screaming for the prosecution of Officer Karrik. After the 1st Grand Jury returned a NO True bill of Indictment, its time to stop persecuting the officer who plainly feared for his life, and that of those with him. "This prosecution was a gross injustice and should die in its tracks"!!!

Officer Kerrick needs to sue the City of Charlotte for putting him through this. He did his job the way he was trained. All this just so Charlotte could get in the national news about a racial issue. What a shameful way to act! This man was thrown under the bus. The city (Rodney Monroe) has already paid the perp's family over 2 million dollars in a civil suit. Cop goes free, how you gonna get that money back now Rodney? You look like a bigger fool than we already knew you are. Disgusting.

I do not feel he acted with malicious intent. I am sure he will punish himself enough as he has to learn to live with the consequences of his actions as well as live with the fear and threats that i am sure he and his family are dealing with on a daily basis.

When you are on a jury it doesn't matter what a good person this person was, you can only go by the evidence that is put fourth. When a officer tells you to stop, get down or whatever they are wanting you to do / you do it because you are not only putting your life at risk but the officer to. This is the law that everyone knows. Officer has done his time and I feel he is innocent. Thank you

Being a officer is a tough job!! They need to be paid more for their services! Unless you've been put in his position, you've no idea what he went through. I'm sure it was a very scary situation for him. I hope he is able to get on with his life.

I PERSONALLY THINK THAT OFFICER KERRICK WAS JUSTIFIED IN HIS ACTIONS. WHY DID THIS MAN NOT LAY DOWN ON THE GROUND WHEN ASKED TO . MAYBE HE WOULD BE ALIVE TODAY.

Please do not have another trial for Officer Kerrick. It is a waste of State and Mecklenburg County money. The laws and evidence support that Kerrick was in fear of his life. The video evidence supports that Ferrell was aggressively running towards Kerrick and refused to obey the police when they verbally instructed him to stop. They were trying to save him by 1st ordering him to stop and 2nd by attempting to tazer him. When those two options did not work, what other option does an officer have? If the parents would have trained the child to stop and listen to police, then this would never had happened. It appears Ferrell could have been on a drug substance and this substance was the proximate cause of the actions that preceded Ferrell's death. It is upsetting that a majority of black leaders never seem to care if the black person is wrong in their actions. Many blacks want to kill or hurt white people, because they are white and Kerrick's situation is unfortunately how they can grandiose their black only platform. If Kerrick is retried then this is just playing in to their grandiose facade of black's can do NO wrong. It is in the best interest of the public and public policy to let this go and move on to require the black's to learn from Ferrell's behavior. Constantly destroying property, yelling and playing the victim is not to the best interest of public policy, nor the State of North Carolina. Blacks should require more of themselves, quit blaming everyone else for their bad actions and they need to publicly take ownership of missbehaviors and train each other in the proper behaviors when in the presence of all people, including the police. Black children are often better off being with white parents, because they learn how to behave and respect all people regardless of their race or position in life. Thank you in advance for refusing to have another trial with Kerrick as a defendant. Kerrick could potentially be a plaintiff in a lawsuit against Ferrell’s family

Innocent .. I would support to ANY officer under the same circumstances ... you simply do not charge a police officer .. armed or not.
