Do the right thing and let this police officer go on with his life. He was doing his job....the young man clearly was attacking him provoking the officer to the point he had no choice but to shoot to protect himself! I am 65 years old...I've seen many incidents just like this before.....all were justifiable. Drop this case and leave him be! Thank you!

Officer Kerrick was doing his duty and all evidence indicated he had no other choice but what he did. His life has been ruined and he does not deserve going through another trial. End this now!

Officer Kerrick's actions were carried out in his line of duty and to protect himself and his comrades. The police were called in response to a citizen's concerns for their own safety. He was doing his job!

Officer Kerrick was tried in front of a court of law and a mistrial was declared, because he is innocent and the people need to accept the ruling and move on

Do not retry Mr Kerrick. 8 voted for acquittal and that is a majority. Sadly, this seems to be a racial issue and will continue to be even if there is another trial and he is acquitted.

I stand with him. I believe he used excessive force. But he had to make a split second decision against someone who was charging him. It's sad it caused a loss of life but as a cop you are faced with situations where it is either your life or theirs. Had the young man stopped like he was instructed, he would still be alive to defend himself.

Dont let the family or friends of criminals force the courts & judges to do what THEY think is right! Attack an officer, pay the consequences!

A mistrial has already been done. The family of Ferrell has received 2.5 million. Let's move forward.

End this now. There should never have been charges or a trail. Both these young lives are over, Kerrick will never be the same and he probably will never work his dream job again.

I believe Officer Kerrick was fulfilling his duty as an officer of the law and has a right to return home safely after doing that job. From the video he made a split second decision out of fear for himself and his fellow officers. Please do not retry officer Kerrick.

Officer Kerrick used necessary force to defend himself!
