Officer Kerrick should have never been charged to start with. It took 2 grand juries to indict him after then Chief Monroe threw him under the bus.

Please listen to the citizens, let the Kerrick family get on with their life. I certainly got a bad taste in my mouth when a 2.25 million dollar settlement was handed out. Money does not bring back a life not does it show the family only wants justce...,BS!!!

Those who demonstrate and want a retry have no respect for our laws or justice system .

Officer kerrick was protecting himself, while suspended he should be paid. I said it online, I don't much like police officers, I have a record, but I seen that video, he shouldn't be charged with anything.

A fair trial was provided for Officer Kerrick by a jury chosen by both the prosecution and the defense. The majority spoke by a 2/3 vote for acquittal. Mr. Ferrel charged the police officers and did not abide by their authority. DO NOT waste any more tax payers money by by giving into a racially inspired group of Ferrel supports due to their disappointment in the outcome.

Officer Kerrick was defending himself. The first Grand Jury turned in a no bill and the first trial ended with the mistrial but with 8 Not Guilty votes to 4 Guilty votes. Officer Kerrick himself. His family and the City of Charlotte have been through enough. In most other trial an 8 not guilt votes to 4 guilty votes would not be retried. If you truly want justice do not keep trying this officer until you get the verdict you want.

I totally support any officer's response to a direct assault like this no matter what race is involved. An officer deserves to protect himself just like any other citizen. The video shows a direct attack by Mr. Ferrell and should be considered as self-defense by any person involved in such an aggression regardless of race or ethnicity.

We had a fair trial with both sides presenting and with 8-4, and there is no need for the tax payers to pay for another trial!

The petition says it all. Officer Kerrick is innocent. Let's not waste anymore money than we already have to placate a group with its own agenda.
