A family lost a loved one. After hearing the trial details they have to live with how their loved one was lost. I now agree with the jury = not guilty. I don't understand how the civil lawsuit was settled before this trial? A GoFundMe Account should be setup for the Kerrick family. God Bless all involved. Keep all in prayers. And for Roy Cooper in his decision and does not let politics get in the way of his decision.

after seeing all the evidence I do not believe he is guilty. A retrial is not justified

Officer Kerrick was found NOT GUILTY by a majority of his peers. No need for a retrial!

The jury has already spoken 2 to 1, what else needs to be done! The city of Charlotte should have never settled with family. The city should be paying the police officer

Should never have been a trial the man charged in like a football tackle was looking for a fight not for help feel bad for the family but there needs to be some kind of respect for police not put him on trial for doing what was needed to keep him and fellow officers safe

correction: fails to CONVICT*...the reason is... he is not guilty. Let the system work for itself, instead of using it to pacify uneducated extremists.

I have seen the video and it appears that he was being attacked.

We have a judicial system build on checks and balances- when a jury fails to acquit, there is a REASON.

When 8 of 12 jurors vote to acquit and the entirety of the evidence points toward the need to acquit... why are we spending tax dollars to retry?

Sorry about the man's death. If the man was shown walking and then started running toward Kerrick, had it been me I would have unloaded on the man. And why did he kick the door of the house he sought help from instead of knocking or ringing the bell? What were the blood test results. Finally, 2/3rds of the jury said innocent; and locked. Then networks in Charlotte only interviewed a black jury member? Sounds like liberal racist action. NO MORE TRIALS! Waste of money.

He was doing what anyone in his position would have done. He is innocent.

A police officer responds to calls not knowing what to expect. A response must many time be made in a split second for the safety of the public as well has their known.

He was doing his job. If you charge a police officer you have to expect the outcome to be bad.

A police officer must always take the path of caution to him or herself and protection of the public when faced with the unknown.
