Sir, I respect you for everything you have done and in the eyes of a just person and even looking up to my just God...you have served well and your such an inspiration to me. Keep up the good work because true MEN like YOU are the reason I want to be an officer

I just listened to the statement from one of the jurors, who says the question of "what did
Ferrell do to deserve death," has not been answered, says he only heard what Ferrell did NOT do. I can't believe the stupidity of that statement. It IS all about what he failed to do, failed to follow instructions from the officer, ran towards the officer, did not stop when ordered to. He was a large man attacking the smaller officer. The other officers were not being approached by Ferrell, he was running past them, not at them, as he was towards Kerrick. Had he run directly at the other officers, I wonder how they would respond, especially when he went from walking to running. He definitely was a perceived threat. A tragic and sad occurrence for his family of course. My heart goes out to them, but given the facts, Officer Kerrick had seconds to respond, not years to decide what actions he should take as the media and the rest of Charlotte has had. Rodney Monroe threw him under the bus. He should be punished for his rush to appease the black community. I liked him before this, have lost respect for him during these procedures. Our officers face a tough job having to make life decisions in seconds. Officer Kerrick was going off the information given him, and his decision was the same one anyone would make in the same situation. He deserves our support. As it stands, his career is gone. He has lost everything and will be a target for radicals looking to "even" the score! Just like the Ferguson, they have made the aggressor out to be this innocent bystander who was innocent and did nothing to deserve death. Reporters ignore the facts of these cases, that these men were the aggressors who refused to obey officers' commands. Decency demands that Officer Kerrick be allowed to pick up the pieces of his life and be exonerated of these ridiculous charges. He deserves an apology from the prosecution for even considering these erroneous charges against him. You ar

Common sense and reality must become part of how we view things. This officer was defending his own life and the verdict should have been complete acquittal.

Kerrick is clearly innocent. Police have to be respected or all of our safety is at risk.

You're right. Why spend that much. It should cost more. The Ferrell family is worth every bit of it. Their son, bother, friend is gone. I hope for a retrial

You must have video coverage that no one else has. I didn't see him attack anyone. But I did see a coward on the stand pretending to cry without any tears. Please.......

That's why he turned his dash cam off upon his arrival to the scene. Because he was afraid. Yea afraid the truth would be seen of him killing a unarmed Black Man

Your comment loudly reeks of your ignorance to this case and screams racism from within. Jonathan Ferrell and Officer Kerrick are both men, created equal by God. NOT black men or white men, just men.

Trial would be expensive and would end in the same outcome. The decision to charge the officer was to fast

Always remember Pamela Sauls, what goes around, comes around. Kerrick got away with cold blooded murder. But the story is not over just yet. I want them to retry this murderous clown
