I Support Officer Kerrick

I concur with Charles Owen. I also believe that if Officer Kerrick had been black he would never had been charged at all.

I support Officer Kerrick and the decision he had to make while on duty.

CMPD-Retired 2010 One need only to have worked in the field of law enforcement or corrections to know that the term "unarmed man" is not synonymous with term "Poses no threat". Each and every year, criminals have overpowered and murdered officers with the officer's service weapon. Each and every year, officers have been seriously injured or murdered by criminals using their hands and feet as weapons. All lives matter. We are a nation of law that provide both civil and criminal remedies for police misconduct. Personal responsibility matters. Compliance to lawful orders MATTERS! Both a grand jury (the first one) and a 2/3rd majority of the jury in this trial agree...Mr. Kerrick is not guilty of the crime of Voluntary Manslaughter as defined by the very statutes the Attorney General's Office has sworn to uphold. This case was never about the process of justice...it was about political expediency.

Officer Kerrick was protecting himself in the line of duty

We should be honoring this officer for doing his job and protecting and his service for Charlotte, NC.

Officer Kerrick should be cleared of all charges. He did what he was dispatched to do. The city of charlotte should be held responsible for throwing one of their Officers under the bus. All police officers should stand up for Officer Kerrick.

I feel they need to stand behind him, not retry him, compensate him and see to his and his family's safety.

Quit being scared of these protesters. Support your law enforcement and give Kerrick his job back which he was wrongfully terminated from.

i truly believe he is not guilty. A jury of his peers has spoken. Let it stand.

I feel that this case has already been tried and that the officer acted appropriately under the condition and with the facts that he had at the time. Eight of the twelve jurors felt the same way. The case should be dropped and allow the officer to get on with his life.

A tragedy that has effected multiple families. The officer was put in a No Win situation, then thrown under the bus by our former police chief. Stop playing politics with this young man's life. Time to move on.

Not only do I believe him to be innocent, I believe he should be awarded damages for improper dismissal from the police department and from the news media for completely ruining the rest of his life.

Please DO NOT RETRY officer Kerrick. The first grand jury did not find enough evidence to go to trial and now the jury vote was 8 to 4 to acquit. Enough!!

This officer has been vilified from day one. The testimony from his fellow officers at the scene should have been enough to justify his actions. Enough time and money have been wasted trying to crucify this officer for defending himself. The sad truth is that had Jonathan Ferrell been white and one of the black officers had reacted just like officer Kerrick, there would not have been a single outcry or financial settlement or charges filed against said officer. It truly is sad that in all these so called "racial killings" the first thing the families do is file multi-million dollar lawsuits. They claim they want justice but it's only justice if it's in their favor.

don't waste more tax dollars. with the true facts of the case, Officer Kerri k did his job and there will never be a conviction.
