The news is official and Costco is finally coming to Branford. I am honestly stunned that this worked out but it was your dedication that actually moved the needle here. Please take a moment to enjoy this win while we watch to see how the plans move forward.
I have been hearing from so many of you about how much a store like this would help our daily routines. It is all of your input that keeps this conversation moving forward behind the scenes.

I support Costco coming to Branford and everyone I have spoken to about this has agreed with me. There are a handful of residents who object. This handfull of residents is a minority and in the overall scheme of the proposed Costco development theTown of Branford will benefit financially and environmentally. There will be opportunities for employment for residents. Costco has proven that they take care of their property and will be an asset to the Town of Branford. Stop and Shop will greatly benefit from Costco. I shop at Costco weekly and always need to stop at a grocery store for additional items. I would now be stopping at Stop and Shop. Pollution will be reduced by the reduced driving to Milford by the shoreline residents. This is a positive for the environment.

Costco in Branford (this side of the Q) would be so wonderful! I hate having to cross the Q and fight the Post Road traffic traveling to the Milford Costco. I consider it a necessary evil.

The "rock pile" has been on/off again for years. It's an eyesore that needs to be completed. COSTCO seems to have jump started that project once again. No one wants big business in their backyard. Walmart is a perfect example. COSTCO will bring jobs, alleviate increasing tax burdens and hopefully breathe some new life into smaller shops that are struggling. No one has all the answers however progress will continue especially big business, like it or not. Shops at the rock

Hamden fought against all the stores that are now on Universal Dr. in North Haven. Dumbest thing ever. Taxpayers lost all that revenue over stupidity.
