I think the sincerity of his contrition is demonstrated by his reforming his life. As Pastor Hodari said, we all have a past and we all depend on the grace of God. Be strong, Wes, you are not, because of the praise or criticism of people, a different person. Your Lord sees what is in your heart.
He has been a mentor to my son for years. I have seen so much growth in him. He is truly teaching life lessons to this community. We stand with Wes!
I support Wes Bellamy! He has accepted responsibility and apologized. His work, volunteerism and, community commitment is so needed. Please give him a chance to continue working in Charlottesville.
Wes deserves a chance to prove that he is a different person than he was 5-10 years ago, He has grown and matured and made good life choices and works hard every day to show kids that they have amazing potential. As does he.
I stand with Wes! I have known him to be an awesome mentor to our young people and personally have had very positive and professional interactions. He has learned some important lessons in this and can help young people avoid making the same mistakes. We NEED Wes in our community and working with our kids.

I support Wes, I have met the man that he is today, willing to listen and care for our community and our children as his own. I have always heard great things from my friends in their encounters with him. Please do not judge him for things he said when he was only 20 years old. Let he/she who has never said something stupid at that age cast the first stone. For real!
