It's a shame that an academic institution doesn't believe in free speech.

Sacred Heart has a choice, be a little more tolerant or it will go on their 'permanent record'--proud alumni of St. Alphonsus Catholic School and Marquette University high School.

I never have never and never will donate to Sacred Heart. However, I will happily double my donations to Planned Parenthood if Ms. Murray is forced to leave the school due to support of Planned Parenthood.

casting "shame" on a 15-yr old, suggesting "I stand with PP" is inflammatory and making students uncomfortable, and comparing a school (a place to be educated) to a bar mitzvah, ALL while ignoring the school's own argument that this is not a war against PP but in fact a war against stickers in general is... very dumb. your argument is very dumb.

Kate should be ashamed. She has, with the help of her attorney parents, spun this story out of context. Kate posted the sticker to be inflammatory. That’s the issue - not what the stickers says or represents. The school isn’t hindering her 1st Ammendment right, they have been trying to teach her how to express her view without being inflammatory. Sacred Heart does uphold Catholic beliefs which includes respect for all views. A majority of the students and teachers are pro-life - but they don’t suppress others rights to believe otherwise. They encourage conversation and debate on issues - not posting of stickers for the sole purpose of being inflammatory. What if I wore a “Jesus is the son of God” banner to my friend’s Bar Mitzfah? Not only would that be inflammatory but it would be disrespectful.
She also on the alumnae who blindly supported this petition without examining the facts.
Stay strong Kate!
