It is unfortunate that you chose not to identify yourself in this post. Perhaps it was because your opinion is in the minority, as evidenced by the hundreds of comments below. Perhaps you don't fully believe everything that you just said, and your CSH education failed to educate you to show respect, acceptance and concern ... for others! According to GOAL #1: "Rooted in the love of Jesus Christ, the school promotes a personal relationship with God and fosters the spiritual lives of its members." AND "The school seeks to form its students in the attitudes of the heart of Jesus expressed in respect, compassion, forgiveness, and generosity." The last time I checked the New Testament, Jesus excommunicated ... no one!

I stand with Kate and her use of wise freedom - hers is a Sacred Heart education in action and the one I recognize. 91st Street '08

I feel as if this is an issue this girl will not understand until developing a greater level or maturity. Her family voluntarily pays $30,000 + per year to attend this Catholic Institution, and she chooses to cause a riot? There are strict guidelines at Sacred Heart and if you do not agree with, or wish to abide by them, just DON’T ATTEND!! There are plenty of other schools in this area where you can freely tattoo “Planned Parenthood” on your forehead if you wish and not be questioned for it. Sacred Heart is not one of these schools due to their specific beliefs, and this girl must come to realize that. She is free to speak about the controversy and share her opinions at Sacred Heart, so why doesn’t she actually speak up to her community personally rather than creating a petition due to her overreaction. Everywhere you go in life will have rules and guidelines of some sort, and if she can’t come to realize that and verbalize her opinions respectfully and maturely, I wish her the best of luck in her life to come.

Planned Parenthood is the sole provider of maternity care for many low-income women in this country, which sounds like the kind of thing Christians used to get behind.

Your sisters are proud of you, Kate. Shame on you, Sacred Heart. Shame on you. - A once proud alumna of CSH Greenwich Class of 2008

At my time @ csh I remember that we were always taught to ask "why" Last time I checked, Sacred Heart believes in creating strong, independent women (that's the point of an all-girls school, right?)... Now let's check out their website.. AH, I just clicked on their "About us" page..."Sacred Heart Greenwich: Where Young Women Become Global Leaders" "Sacred Heart Greenwich provides an empowering learning environment for girls and young women from kindergarten through twelfth grade to prepare them to become confident, intelligent and compassionate global leaders" There's more... remember how we basically had to memorize the school's goals and criteria? Goal 2:Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to a deep respect for intellectual values. Goal 3:Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to a social awareness which impels to action. Goal 5: Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom. This is disgusting. Never donating a penny to this crap school

Expulsion is way too harsh a punishment for something like this. I could understand a disagreement of opinion, but it's just a sticker on a laptop

I stand with Kate. For myself, for my daughters and for all the other daughters out there in the US and beyond. And for all the men who have sisters, mothers , daughters, aunts, nieces etc. who may go to Planned Parenthood for healthcare. This is too small of a reason to negatively interfere in persons education. Even if this is legal for the school to do, shame on them.
