I am deeply disturbed by the decision of the school to censure freedom of speech and choice in this horrific fashion

As a current parent I am appalled and embarrassed by SH Greenwich. Freedom of expression is encouraged at sacred heart as long as it falls in line with what the faculty and administration believe. One dares not espouse a contrary opinion. I am extraordinarily disappointed in the school. This is not the first time we have had to face such behavior. Kate, we are with you and admire your courage and conviction.

Sacred Heart... Please do right by the church and actually heed the lessons taught by its leader. Stand with an organization who provides basic medical needs for women, particularly women of low income and modest backgrounds. Follow the steps of Jesus Christ and actually care for your fellow humans who happen to have vaginas.

If the Catholic Church would put as much effort into prosecuting pedophile priests as they do attacking Planned Parenthood, who provide free breast cancer screenings, they would better serve the world and be more Christ like.

this country was founded on the belief of freedom of speech, once again the catholic church is shutting down an opposing view.

The most important job of any school is to promote the value of the 1st Amendment and encourage its students’ voices. Shame on Sacred Heart - they are a disgrace. Yay Kate Murray - you make us all proud.

I have nothing but respect for this young woman and I am truly horrified by the school's response.
My daughter attends the school and my hope is that she was being educated in an environment where young women can express, albeit respectfully, their points of view.
It seems to be a hideous contradiction that the school would expel someone for a small sticker and yet tolerate people coming to school wearing Let's Make America Great again buttons and t-shirts. To be clear, I am ok with both, as everyone has the right to express their point of view.
Sadly, the intransigence of the school is going to be very costly for them. It will make the school a lot less attractive to future students/parents, I have emailed the Greenwich Times story to a friend who was planning to send his daughter to the school (and I suspect they will reconsider their application) and I will not be making any further contributions to the annual fund/capital funds.
It is time for the school to re-examine its leadership and embrace a world where young women should be encouraged to be strong and express their views.
I have nothing but the utmost respect for this young lady. Go Kate.
Stay strong and speak up
