@Judy: I think anyone who holds your beliefs regarding Planned Parenthood is gullible and a horrible fact checker who has no idea when to capitalize.

Abortion is a safe AND legal medical procedure. Do REAL research on it before talking about which you know nothing. In addition, Planned Parenthood does not sell body parts. That myth has already been debunked for years. You'd know that if you bothered to stay current on your current events.

I think anyone who promotes an Organization that murders innocent babies and sells their body parts is sick in the head...

The catholic church or school system has no grounds to be retricting a person's right to free speech. How long did they deny and cover up sexual abuse on children by priest ? And worse they just kept moving priest around to abuse more children.

I don't personally agree with Planned Parenthood and I actually think they shouldn't get any tax dollars at all, but I think people should have the right to use their services and it's none of my business (or anybody else's) what somebody needs or wants with their own body and life. We need to stop letting our different opinions dictate how we treat each other as people, the world can't be great without differences of opinions and ideas being OPENLY DISCUSSED. The school in this case (as well as the Catholic Church in general throughout history) has a habit of stamping out differences in opinion and actually punishing people who dare to express a different opinion, and any attempt at trying to silence opposing viewpoints and/or punish or alienate somebody for expressing what they believe is CRIMINAL in my opinion and should never be tolerated. Good luck Kate, but if I were you I would tell that school to go to hell (no pun intended) and go somewhere where you'll be not just allowed but ENCOURAGED to speak your views on any subject, even if everybody disagrees with you. Decent people can respect someone with a different opinion and there's no shortage of schools you can go to where you'll be accepted. Everyone is worth too much to go to a school that restricts their viewpoints and tries to make everyone think and act the same. People who control others like this are sick and don't even know why they do it. Hey, public school isn't so bad, it has its problems no doubt but most of us who've been through public school systems never dealt with expulsions for expressing opinions. I think public schools turn out to be better experiences than private schools (I went to a private catholic school for one year in 5th grade and my parents realized they made a huge mistake so I went back to public school until I graduated high school. Say what you want about public schools but I was always allowed to speak my opinions and was surrounded by some very intelligent people from all w

Don't back down Kate. This is your 1st amendment right. The church has no business blackmailing you with your education. Stay strong.

Is there any other social opinion that can get a student expelled? This is supposed to be a school, not a prison.

This young woman is presenting an opinion that is not racist, is not targeting anyone, or any group in a xenophobic way. You do not have to agree with it, but it is her right to express such an opinion!

No one should be expelled for stating a perfectly good opinion. Silencing opposition and insulating oneself in a bubble helps no one.

I too stand with PP and am proud that Kate does also. She should not be punished for her support. It is not only a matter of free speech but also th school must recognize the good work of Planned Parenthood for providing healthcare!

I don’t agree with the high schooler. You’re in a catholic school so how do you think it’s okay to put a planned parenthood sticker and pretty much stand for what they believe in such as abortion etc...it’s the same concept if you go to catholic school and don’t attend mass weekly then why do you go to a catholic school? So everyone that is agreeing with this girl and if you’re a practicing catholic you should be ashamed of yourself! Yes you can have freedom of speech but something like this is unacceptable in a catholic school. If you want the sticker so bad then go to a public school.
