We made the decision 2 years ago not to attend SCHS due to ongoing problems, but since the arrival of Pricipal Halt, those problems have been addressed. Truancy is low and staff moral is high now and it is now an option for my children. But now with Halt gone, who knows..

As a retired educator with over thirty six years experience, I am extremely upset about the release of Mike Halt from his position as principal of San Clemente High School. He has done an outstanding job as principal and deserves a raise not a firing.

Michael Halt - best thing to happen to SCHS in years!!! The school is now clean the students seem to have gained an immense amount of pride and respect . BRING BACK MR. HALT. Everyone loves him!!!

The decision to let go one of the most noteworthy & effective school administrators that has ever come into the CUSD is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS! An apparent new philosophy of 'intimidation and fear' is now permeating all of the South Orange County schools ... this decision should be rescinded and Principal Halt re-instated.
