I have a daughter who is a sophomore at San Clemente High School. Mike Halt has turned a sad struggling high school back into the proud high school respected by the community. His dismissal is ridiculous.

Mike Halt has the undivided support from his community, staff and students. This speaks volumes of his character and leadership. My son currently attends Las Palmas and I can only wish he would've had the opportunity of attending SCHS under the leadership of Mike Halt.

I think the reasons should be out in the open why Michael Halt was let go at
SCHS serving 2 year as principal. It sounds to me he has served as a excellent principal.

Professional, trusted, admired, respected (by teenagers!) . . . just a few adjectives that come to mind for Mr. Halt who has made significant positive changes for SCHS in his short time there.

We need a principal in San Clemente High School. A real leader and fantastically educated person. That is why all of the students in San Clemente High School trust him and love him.

With the degree of public outcry over this issue and the unbelievable support this principal has engendered from both students and parents alike, I believe this must be re-addressed.

CUSD must listen to parents. With Halt issue and August start they are systematically excluding the community they SERVE.
