My August water bill shows 31,000 gallons consumption, yet my 8 month av is 5437.50 -- it has never been even 2,500. Clearly an error!

My water bill doubled this month. I am a single head of household and I travel about half the time for work, so this increase seems improbable. Thank you so much for the information.

We have also been trying to get usage comparison and have been in contact with the City several times this year. The water usage has been unusually high all year.

It's ridiculous. How can it be possible for us to go from 5,000 gallons to 19,999 gallons in one month? We were out of town for 8 days, and we NEVER water our lawn

Our water bill has greatly increased over the last couple of months even after taking measures to decrease usage. We also have been told we do not have a leak.

Our water bill quadrupled in August when we were out of town for one of those weeks. There is no possible way we used that much water. There has clearly been an error.

This is absolutely ridiculous, and should be handled asap. My water usage went from 9,400 gallons to 20,200 gallons in one month! Not possible!

Our bill couldn't be accurate as our usage couldn't have jumped to the 3 times what we have averaged over the past years usage.

Our usage for August was about three times that for July and 2014, although the watering timer was the same.

Our usage was about the same as last year's number. But, we have not watered outdoors this summer at all! The sprinkler system was shut off and no handheld watering was used.

august shows 23200 of usage when my average for the prior 7 months is below 5000 per month. When I checked the meter myself it was under leaves and dirt and could not have been recently read.

I have lived in Lost Creek 40 years...never have I used this much water, even when the kids were home. Single homeowner, sprinklers once a week in front, some hand watering, I bath per day, and 6 toilet flushes, and dishwasher run every other day...22,000 gal of water for 1 person in a month.. I do not
think so...someone didn't read the meter in July, so August bill was tiered into the higher rate.. This is what I think happened!

Our water usage went from 22,700 to 48,000 which is shocking because we actually cut down on water usage in August after we were hand watering new sod heavily in July.

Our recent bill from the City of Austin was more than double than it should normally have been for this time of the year. Restitution, please.

My usage increased 130% from prior month. I only use outside irrigation on day allowed. Also, rates are extremely high compared to prior MUD rates with the same service.
