my normal usage is around 4K. that can rarely spike to nearly 10K during hot dry summer months when the 1x per week irrigation is done. This month I received a bill for 29,400 gallons used. The irrigation system is well-maintained. I believe that an error has occurred in the city's invoicing. I have left a message with CoA. This relates to the Lost Creek MUC

My bills have been so high since Austin took over our billing. Something is wrong with the meters they installed.

My issue didn't just happen. It happened in February of 2015 just after City of Austin took over Lost Creek Mud. Our water bill went from an average of 5,000 gallons per month to 24,000 gallons in one month and then back to normal after that. There were No leaks, running hoses, etc and being winter, our irrigation system was turned Off so we were sure it was a misread of some sort. I went through all the hoops with the city and to no avail. We had to pay the bill because they said that's how much water we used. I still have issue with it and would love to get it resolved and my money back!

For August we were charged for 30k. In July, 9.9k. In June, 7.4k. It is not possible for us to have tripled our use in August. Please fix this.

Our water bill increased 6X in the last cycle. We've never gone above 10k gallons for 15 years. Insane!

Our water bill was 25,000 gallons in July and 24,000 gallons in August. The problem is, we were out of town 25 days of the 31 days in the July billing period and 10 days in August. There is no possible way we could have the water usage they are showing in July, in a month when our home was vacant 83% of the time. This is fraud!

Our bill went from 5300 gallons to 16,000. During that period, 3 people in our family were out of town for a week, and the 4th person was out of town for 4 days. This usage is simply impossible.

My water consumption was less than 4000 gallons all year and shot up from 2600 gallons on Apr/May bill to 26,000 gallons on the May/Jun bill. The next readings were 29,000 gallons and then 51,500 respectively. I had a plumber come out and look for a leak due to my concern and am planning on calling the city about this as well.

Our water bill is grossly overstated. We don't have a sprinkler system and we were out of town for a week.

My current water bill is double last months which was double from the prior month. My statement claims I used 42,000 gallons July 17 to Aug. 17. I am now monitoring my daily usage but I can't find a leak anywhere. We have tried to contact the city every day since we got our bill but all lines are busy. We can't even leave a message. Figures. Great customer service.
