I have lived at this address for 27 years and never experienced mistakes of this magnitude. City of Austin took over our water service from the Lost Creek Mud in January

August bill is about 10% more than the last 2013 and 2014 record.

August usage up almost 3X from July bill, (31,000 gallons vs. 11,000). Back to normal in Sept.

Never used over 8,000 gallons other than one month we had a leak years ago. Now COA bill says we've used 23,000 gallons?!? While NOT outdoor watering AT ALL.

My bill is ridiculous and we have had a Plummer to our home to check for leaks or issues...there are none. This is unethical!

We have lived at the same address for almost 20 years. I have kept track of water and other utility usage during that time. The water usage stated by the city since June is about twice what has ever been used by this household in almost 20 years. We do not have a leak and because of water saving efforts, our usage should be decreasing as compared to last year, not increasing at such an alarming rate. The usage stated by the City of Austin is not correct.

.We are only three in the house and our bill is no different from rest of the neighborhood. Our water usage for the month of August as per the bill was 68600 gallons. We are sure there is something wrong with the measurement gauge.

Our water usage went from 3600 gallons in July to 30,600 gallons in August. Water showed no leak. Waiting for supervisor to call.

11,800 gallons over a 24 day period, that's an average of 491 gallons per day. Headed towards a 15,000 gallon monthly bill. Historic average usage closer to 4,500 gallons a month. Something is wrong.

On 8/17 our water usage was 14,400 gallons, about 3 times higher than our average over the previous year. An interesting note, on the bill, the meter read amount appears to have flipped back to zero during this time. Everything after this flip to zero seems to be way too much.

We had 50% more usage than in previous months and we were not here to use the water for 75% of the billing period.

average under 4,000 gallons per month. 8/17 billing was 32,900 gallons! Requested water meter check - they said no leak - and as of 9/9 it was up to 15,000 gallons. Something is seriously wrong. They agreed to escalate it - and said it could take 5-7 days before they even started the process.

Our bill dates from 7/17 to 8/17 show we consumed 42,800 gallons! The history shows we've not even reached 10,000 gallons since January - which is the latest month they show. We're a family of 5 on Royal Birkdale of which 4 of us were out of town for all but 5 of those days. I made the call and sent the email. Hope it works out for us all!

Our last water bill was significantly higher than one year ago for less water usage.

Last August I used twice the water as this August, but my bill was double compared to last year for water.
