We are a broad cross-section of the Silicon Valley community, and we sign this petition in support of the housekeepers at the Hyatt Santa Clara. • Each day, housekeepers at the Hyatt Santa Clara clean 17 rooms, and make up to 33 beds, changing up to 99 sheets and pillowcases. • In a survey of over half the housekeeping department, Hyatt Santa Clara housekeepers reported living and working with pain, as well as waking up in the middle of the night due to physical pain. This is unacceptable in our community. All workers deserve humane working conditions, and all of Hyatt Santa Clara’s employees deserve to be treated with respect.
