Dr. Leonardi finally backed down and reinstated Ms. Piffard as our advisor. This is a massive victory against a senseless administrative decision that would have ruined our yearbook. Stay sharp because we will be watching to ensure the transition remains exactly as they promised.

Pam Piffard has been the advisor of the Huntingtonian Yearbook for the past nine years. 2009 was said to be her last year producing the book. Fortunately, after being asked repeatedly by our principal, Dr.Leonardi, and other adminstrators, she has agreed to produce next year's book as well. However, she has been informed that Dr. Leonardi has instead appointed two spanish teachers to be the new yearbook advisors. These new advisors have no experience in creating the yearbook, and undoubtedly do not have adequate knowledge of the steps necessary to create the book. We ask you to please reinstate Ms. Piffard as yearbook advisor. With her overseeing the production, the yearbook staff will be able to create the best yearbook possible for a class that truly deserves it.

The massive surge in support proves that Dr. Leonardi cannot just ignore the students who actually care about this yearbook. This momentum shows that the administration's decision to replace Ms. Piffard with inexperienced staff is a complete joke.

She has been doing this for 9 years and does an amazing job. Why would they change it now when she already agreed to do it? Makes no sense.

This is so unfair to her and to the students. She puts so much hard work into this every year.

Ms. Piffard is the reason our yearbook looks so professional. Spanish teachers have no business running the yearbook program.
