Due to lack of attendance in previous years, the Horton Football Team has moved all of their home games to Canning to save the money that the poor turn-outs have cost the team. Unfortunately, Canning is not in a very convenient spot for most Horton students to travel, and there is no stadium. Very limited seating is provided. Students Council would love to see the games be moved back to Acadia, and all we need for that to happen is for you to sign this petition saying you are interested in attending our boys' football games! Let's amp up the school spirit this year and all try to make it out! Go Griffins!!! :)

I have requested a formal meeting with the school administration to discuss the logistics of returning home games to Acadia. The current setup in Canning remains insufficient for student attendance and we are preparing a report for the athletic department to address these venue constraints.

The increased support confirms there is a clear demand for returning our home games to Acadia. I am preparing a formal request for the athletic department to review this data and reconsider the current venue schedule.

It breaks my heart as a first time football mom that I won't be able to make any of the home games unless they are moved back to Acadia. We don't drive so getting to Canning is difficult, at least at Acadia we can use public transit.
If football is moved from Acadia's Raymond field to Canning - it will truly be a sad move! Don't disappoint the team at Horton or those who do come out to support it! Keep it at Acadia!
You would think that the University would be more helpful. These young men could potentially be playing for them in the near future.
i believe some of the reason we have had a lack of attendance is because we are in D1 ( which we arent doing that well in) so other valley schools dont come to watch because their schools arent playing. if we got moved down to D2 i believe we would have more people going, the games would be more hype and we would have a better chance of winning
Why would you bother moving them from Acadia. It's a home crowd. Stupid decision

canning is just way too far for anyone without a car. nobody is going to drive out there on a friday night. keep it at acadia so we can actually get there.
