canning is just way too far for anyone without a car. nobody is going to drive out there on a friday night. keep it at acadia so we can actually get there.

It breaks my heart as a first time football mom that I won't be able to make any of the home games unless they are moved back to Acadia. We don't drive so getting to Canning is difficult, at least at Acadia we can use public transit.

If football is moved from Acadia's Raymond field to Canning - it will truly be a sad move! Don't disappoint the team at Horton or those who do come out to support it! Keep it at Acadia!

You would think that the University would be more helpful. These young men could potentially be playing for them in the near future.

If the issue is a rental fee for the field/facility, The community relies on the University for its identity and for much of the basis of the communities/regions economy. The University relies on the local community to provide infrastructure and various supports - social and financial. It's a symbiotic relationship. Often universities reach out and very much lean on the local community for fundraising, joint gov't infrastructure applications for the betterment of the school. It is the host community that is 1st asked to respond to a University's needs. this is the case not just in Wolfville, its the case in every university town and city. Universities are progressively understanding that the social license to make asks of local communities require engage offerings in kind where possible -- all this is to say that this is an opportunity for our University to wave the cost of the field/facility rental for these 5 odd home games. I know Acadia and all universities are doing better - in fact doing a lot - but here is a chance for the University to help.
