"When it's all over, it's not who you were. It's whether you made a difference." - Bob Dole
When judging a man's "capability" why do we not look at his record instead of his humor? Why do we not look at the achievements of the ship the past 8 months, or take into account that as our CO Captain Honors has shown the utmost professionalism?
Our Captain has done what was conceived to be impossible and taken a run down old piece of metal scrap fresh out of the yards and has prepared it and its crew for deployment. He has turned her back into the great warship she was built to be.
We have been tried and we have been tested the past 8 months under Captain Honors and in all evaluations we not only performed well, but we excelled. The accomplishments we have made attest to our Captains capability and serve as an example of how much his crew loves him. There are two kinds of leaders, those who are followed out of fear and those out of respect.... no one can deny that Captain Honors is the latter.
We are on the brink of deployment... I personally would rather sail under the command Captain Honors than any other officer I have met in all of my years of service. To rob us of our Captain now would shatter crew morale and the cohesiveness built during the last few months of long work ups.
Please Navy... let us keep our Skipper!
Seeing one thousand signatures on this page proves that I am not the only one who sees the incredible leader Captain Honors has been for us. This shows exactly how much this crew values the man who turned our ship into a home. We are gaining real momentum and it is clear that people recognize the excellence he brings to this fleet.

The stories coming in from crew members across the fleet confirm what I already knew about the Captain. Removing him now would destroy the very trust we rely on to do our jobs at sea.

Captain Honors has earned our loyalty through his hard work and we need to push past this hundred signature mark to show the Navy exactly what this crew thinks. Please send this link to your friends and family so the brass sees the real support behind our Skipper.

My son is on the Enterprise and he says the crew would follow Honors anywhere. Dont break up a winning team right before deployment.

The navy needs to stop playing politics and let the man do his job. He turned that ship around when nobody else could.

LEAVE HIM ALONE. He has earned the respect of his crew and that is worth more than any stuffy office opinion.
