Coach instilled toughness in all his players which carried over to life's challenges. It is an honor to sign this petition. Coach has earned it!
One of the greatest HS coaches in Illinois history. Definitely deserving of honor. I always enjoyed watching him coach and would sometimes sit in for the team practices. Coach knew how to get the best from his players.
Coach Felling is one of the greatest coaches of high school basketball in Illinois history without a doubt. I was privileged to attend L'ville High School from 1972 - 1976 and watch both my classmate and friend Jay Shidler play and Coach Felling teach and coach fundamental team basketball. He should be honored for both his coaching and molding of young men.
He was an awesome teacher as well, my drivers ed instructor, many many years ago. I would watch IU play basketball just to see him, with coach Bobby Knight. He was an outstanding coach, teacher and person. I feel this would be a great honor to Mr. Ron Felling.
I played against the greatest athlete from Lawrenceville Dennis Shidler Coach Felling is the number one coach and teacher of the game. I RECOMMEND highly. Larry Smith Robinson High School
I can't think of a more deserving individual for an accolade like this!
A bball coaching legend. He was blessed with a players tradition at LTHS, even those of players who never stepped on the court wearing an Indians jersey, but ground it out on the blacktop mom and pop goals with every hope that they could !!! Gotta love the Catholic school kids too. Sure miss Denny Shidler.

Was a student-manager at IU...learned more basketball from Coach Felling than anyone...always gracious to all of us MGR's with his time...still friends with him today!
