With all of the home nations in mourning after their failure to qualify for the Euro 2008 football championships, there is now serious talk of holding our own football tournament this summer to include England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Imagine, not having to sit through the pain of watching a team like Croatia (who stuffed England)or Italy (who robbed Scotland), playing in the Euro championships and being able to get behind your own country with a pint or two. This is an unprecedented step with radio stations and even Gordon Brown backing the idea but it needs us all to unite and make sure our voices are heard by demanding that the tournament takes place.
