We want to voice our concerns regarding the plans to start the trial examinations as soon as we return to school on AUG 16th,
There is a lot of uncertainty with what returning to school will look like and there has been a lot of anxiety for us. Many students have lacked social interaction and physical activity during the lockdown which has increased stress and likely decreased productivity for many.
By pushing trials back towards the end of AUG (like how many schools are), it would allow students enough time to properly prepare for exams and overcome the major setbacks we have experienced in our studies.
The indefinite shutdown of DOE , as well as other contributing factors have all majorly hindered our preparation, hence an extra delay to trials would allow us to more adequately prepare for our exams, which must ONLY be fair, as over 500+ schools are doing so, so it would only make sense to grant us the same privilege to ensure the best performance of the cohort.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the constant anxiety of preparing for these exams while everything feels like it is falling apart. I am spending my time reaching out to the administration to explain that we are not asking for an easy way out but for a fair chance to succeed.

Seeing this level of support confirms that I am not the only one feeling completely overwhelmed by these plans. The momentum we have built together proves that we need a change to protect our mental well-being before these exams start.

Too much stress on the boys right now. Give them a break and let them settle back in before the exams start.
just give us a week at least. its been a nightmare
My son is struggling so much with the current schedule. It just isnt fair to push them like this after everything.
RIDICULOUS expectation. kids need time to adjust! stop setting them up to fail.
Every other school is getting more time. Why are we different? This is honestly just cruel.

16th is way too soon. half the kids havnt even looked at their notes because of the lockdown funk. push it back.
