Reaching this point has been a long and draining road but seeing this level of interest gives me the strength to keep pushing against the council. I am tired of the silence from the people in charge yet I am grateful that so many of you refuse to let this matter fade away.

We need income to pay expenses!!! Our parishioners are getting older and are on fixed incomes and tired working at the festival. Our kids are not able to contribute as life has gotten very expensive in NY. It’s our only opportunity to save our church and not only that but to thrive.
This is a great opportunity for all Greeks between Brooklyn and Staten Island to come together in forming an additional Hellenic Charter school. As a parent and educator, I support the Hellenic Classical Charter School in opening doors in Staten Island. I support the idea of welcoming the children to a safe, friendly, rigorous, and fun learning environment!
Sending my a child to HCCS is the best choice I made, and as member of Kimisis Theotokou in Brooklyn, I can honestly say HCCS enriched our community and because of the school, our community grew.
Ruby, I too went to Kimisis and Soterios Ellenas. I see how that community has theived once the Charter was established.

As a result of this petition and a unanimous vote of the Parish Council, a Special Parish Assembly is hereby called for Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 7:00pm for the purpose of voting on a new proposal submitted by the Hellenic Classical Charter School - Staten Island for a short term agreement for the existing building only. This meeting will take place in the gymnasium of the Katsoris Cultural Center. We encourage all stewards in good standing to attend and cast their vote. Sign-in will begin at 6:15pm and Child Care will be available for those who need it. I know you understand how important this vote is, please make every effort to join if you are a steward in good standing.
