Good men stay silent for evil men to prosper. In light of Iranian President Ahmadinejad's recent allegations that the Holocaust is a "myth," we are morally bound to defend the memory of those brutally murdered in Nazi Germany. The Simon Wiesenthal Holocaust Education Assistance Act introduced by Carolyn B. Maloney (D-Manhattan, Queens) would increase the federal government's support for programs to educate Americans about the Holocaust and its' lessons. "The Iranian president's shameless and sad remarks show that Holocaust education continues to be vitally necessary, both here at home and throughout the world," Maloney said. "By teaching our young people about the darkest period in world history, we promote tolerance and help ensure that such acts of hatred never happen again." It is imperative that we combat this disgusting distortion of history. Show Washington you care!
