Holmfield Primary school has been a huge part of Leicester Forest East community for over 70 years. This week parents and staff were informed that the council are considering closing the school down due to one bad OFSTED report. SATs results show that the school has been improving over recent years. Many children are enjoying their education at Holmfield and a lot of parents have every faith in the head teacher, teachers and support staff at Holmfield and want the school to remain open. We feel that closing Holmfield will have a huge impact on the community of Leicester Forest East as there is always the chance that the site will be used to build new houses, causing increased traffic to the area.
