This is a petition against Doncaster Council\'s plans to close Hall Cross School\'s historic site on Thorne Road, affecting thousands of people in Doncaster. Hall Cross School features as an integral part of the community, providing access to facilities for many primary schools. Its Sixth Form attracts students from across Doncaster. If the plans were to go ahead, there would be a reduction of 1000 students, from the closure of the Upper School, and the remainder of the school working with Danum School and Doncaster College\'s Hub to cater for students\' academic and vocational needs. This petition allows the people of Doncaster, and those who know it, to decide what happens to Hall Cross School. We who sign this petition may be students (past or present), staff, parents, or those who feel for this cause, either way we strongly believe that Hall Cross Upper School should be saved from closure. The consultation period for Building Schools for the Future (BSF) ends on Monday 3rd March 2008.
