Hold Zack Burkett Co. and TxDOT Accountable for Vehicle Damage on U.S. 287

Cracked my front windshield from a rock thrown from a truck.

I have 2 vehicles that received chips in the windshields due to construction on highway 287.

we all need a windshields fixed and we deserve to helped because it's not our fault

I drove to Vernon every weekday for work & my windshield was cracked twice along that stretch at Iowa park on 287.

Cracked my windshield. I’ve tried taking alternate routes, but sometimes one is not available. Our insurance companies and personal bank accounts should not have to pay out for this when so many people have become victims of this negligence.

My vehicle and windshield has been damaged due to the loose debris on the road from the construction

I have sustained chips in both mine and my husbands vehicles due to this.

I have received 2 separate chips/cracks in my windshield on this road while they are working on it.

Our vehicle had to have its window replaced due to debris cracking it

I personally have 2 chips and a crack across my windshield, I have time stamped photos. Furthermore, if there seemed to be more swiftness to repair the road as it was to scrape it down, there may not be as many damages to vehicles currently. There are people that utilize these roads that are on fixed incomes, single parents or just trying to make it day to day. It would behoove the company to do the right thing to make things better for those within this community—surrounding areas. Take accountability and start improving the roads from its current state.

The highway has been unsafe for weeks and is a danger to property and people. If you need to take the highway there is gravel constantly being thrown at you and it has definitely damaged my vehicle.

Got a chip in the windshield from rocks flying off the road.

I have chips on my new car. The last company that crack and chipped my car and windows took full responsibility and replaced. I have never seen such half assed road work or it even done the way they are doing it. I have family in construction for 30+ and agree this man and his company don’t have a clue and cut corners to save money. The crew that did old Iowa Park road recently didn’t seem to have an issue DOING THEIR JOB SAFELY AND CORRECTLY. This company and owner are a disgrace and should be fired. Do better!

I live in the area and I have a cracked passenger driving mirror damage and can’t even take this direction. The road is horrible.

I had 2 vehicles windshield cracked and chipped from the rocks coming from construction. Every time I drove on that road we got hit by rocks.
