Hilary Jones is a noted drummer living in California. Originally from Baltimore Maryland -- a community with a deep history of cultural diversity-- she has carved out a successful career as a performing and recording artist.
Unfortunately, she has taken to spreading racially insensitive commentary across her social media platforms which disparages the important history of struggle that non-white-skinned Americans face daily. She recently referred to Africa as the "Shithole Motherland" while encouraging all African Americans who take issue with America's sad history of racial intolerance to repatriate and that "Wakanda awaits". She makes further intolerant overtures and broad-sweeping generalizations about African Americans including calling them criminals and rapists, before doubling down with the phrase: "Dam (SP) straight, and I stand by every word".
She mastered an instrument and art form that is inseparably tethered to the black struggle and while standing on the shoulders of the non-white giants she learned the lexicon of rhythm from, she dishonours them with her intolerant, hate-based diatribes.

As a musician I am horrified to know that this woman is spitting hate and lies and stupidity. She does not deserve the great world we are trying to build through song. We cannot afford to have her reaching a generation of fresh minds. Truth equality justice and great music
It is a disgrace for someone who was educated musically under jazz tutelage and plays professionally with those who are categorized as jazz and blues musicians, to disrespect and disregard the history, legacy and struggle of the creators of those musical genres.
I served 8 yrs in the USMC I am a Vietnam combat veteran, I've been playing and making living as a musician for30 yrs as well as being African American, this is for drummers not her political ambitions
How dare a White musician, who has made her career in the music genre of Jazz, a music borne of the struggle of Black Americans espouse the callous and racist ideology and language of White Supremacy.
I played with Hilary in the 90’s. A great drummer but a very disturbed human being. I could see she had a lot of “issues” but now see what they were about. It saddens me to say she should be black balled from the industry, but her remarks and people who think as she does must not be allowed to spew their hate.

She is a hateful piece of garbage and a simple idiot who is never shy about putting her pathetic worldview on public display. I have had multiple confrontations with her, and she never fails to amaze me with what she will say publicly. Latest comment? "The obvious takeaway is you have NOTHING to say about the feral primitive blacks that beat up a couple of White people. Screw you, you puke. You’re a friggen disgrace. Maybe you’ll learn when you get jumped by these savages one day. And it is more likely that you have the balls to admit."

i used to hold Hilary in high regard because of her drumming but now I see who she really is personally. Her post and obvious ideations are disturbing, vile and I do not ever want to associate with anyone who feels this way. Drummergirls United will never, ever allow this kind of disgusting diatribe in our group.
