Hind Hamouda who is suffering from schizophrenia was beaten unconscious by two policemen in Calgary, after a phone call she made to 911. Her mother was present and explained to the officers that Hind suffers from mental illness. The officers started yelling at her and one of them pulled off her Hijab (head cover) and forced her to the ground. Hind was kicked and beaten with batons until she was unconscious. For more information please see this video for Hind after the incident: http://www.youtube.com/watchv=ksi6-bAgao8&mode=related&search= . We should not let the case die, we need to show our support to her and publicize this case. Please sign this petition in order to bring justice for Hind.

The police are totally out of control here. They should be ashamed of themselves for hurting someone who was already scared and suffering. Justice for Hind!

They pulled her hijab off? That is just pure hatred. My heart breaks for her and her poor mom who had to watch the whole thing happen.

This is completely sickening. How can they treat a woman in the middle of a mental health crisis like that? Disgusting behavior from people meant to help.

Saw the video and I am absolutely fuming. This is wrong on every level.

Where is the accountability? She called for help and they almost killed her. I hope these cops face real consequences.

UNACCEPTABLE. These officers need to be fired immediately. Nobody should get beaten like that by the people who are supposed to protect us.
