Please sign this petition and help support Gulnaz: a victim of rape and injustice. Gulnaz was raped at the age of 19 and when she tried to seek help, she was put in jail. The man who raped her was already married so in Afghanistan, this was considered "adultery". Gulnaz became pregnant and had her child in jail. She now has only two options: to stay in jail or to legitimize her daughter and marry her rapist. Signing this petition would mean that you would like to see Gulnaz free: out of jail and NOT married to her rapist but living a better life. We are reaching out to various organizations right now and even trying to find a way to sponsor Gulnaz and her daughter to Canada/US. Every signature is greatly appreciated.
I have been spending my nights writing to international human rights organizations to demand a pathway to safety for Gulnaz and her daughter. The silence from the authorities is heartbreaking but your names prove that the world is watching this cruel injustice.

Seeing this momentum grow brings me such relief because Gulnaz deserves to be free from that nightmare. I never imagined so many people would join this fight for her and her daughter. This support proves that we will not let her suffer in silence anymore.

Poor girl and her baby. No one should be forced to marry the person who hurt them. Praying for justice for them both.
