The local authority has confirmed that the relocation plans for Highshore School are officially cancelled. We will keep monitoring the council budget meetings to ensure this proposal does not re-emerge in future planning cycles.

We, the undersigned wish to state our opposition to the proposed relocation, and \'co-location\' of Highshore Special Needs School, Bellenden Rd Peckham, London, to a shared site with Archbishop Michael Ramsey School,Camberwell, London. We believe that this move would be detrimental to both the institution of Highshore School and to the wellbeing, education, and welfare of it\'s present and future students. We believe that Highshore School should stay on it\'s present, independent and centrally located site.

Updates

I am finalizing the formal briefing document that details the specific risks of the proposed co-location. This report will be submitted to the local education authority office by the end of the current work week.

The engagement on this petition has reached a level that warrants a formal meeting request with the local education authority. I am currently drafting a letter outlining our specific concerns regarding the proposed site transition to ensure they are presented during our upcoming consultation.

Ridiculous idea. Highshore is perfect where it is and the kids rely on that routine. DONT MOVE IT.

My nephew goes here and he loves it. Why break something that works perfectly fine? Leave the school alone.

Totally against this. Our kids need the stability of their own space. This co-location sounds like a cost-cutting mess.

This school is so important to our community. Moving the kids is just going to cause so much stress and disruption. Leave them where they are.

Keep Highshore in Peckham. It's close to everything the parents need. Stop trying to fix things that aren't broke.

So unfair to the students and families who depend on the current site. The travel alone will be a nightmare.
