I was a CNA for many years and I the reason I left was not because I didn't like my job, I loved working with the sick and elderly. The "PAY" could not provide for my family. People get paid more for other jobs that don't relate to" HUMAN LIFE". Its not fair to our fellow human beings who worked so hard all their life to be Short staffed and have to sit in deplorable conditions because the facility does not value CNA's like they do other Nursing staff that have "NO" hands on contact with the resident other then give them their meds or a shot! Sad world we live in . Think of this next time "YOUR" love one is in the Nursing home and needs help! And your paying 10,000 dollars a month or more! CNA's need more money! Their jobs matter! Nursing Assistants are under paid and over worked!

Cnas deserve a higher pay rate. For the work that Cnas do, it's a shame they aren't paid what they are worth.

Cna's deserve more respect! More money! We deal with alot everyday. While the nurses barely do anything. Through everything on us. Demand the duties on us that they can easily help! Degree means nothing to me.. Title either. Respect needs to be more shown to the hard working person.

I agree with 100% with you. This job require a big heart, compassion, love and be humble. Is hard in your entire, body and hard on your emotions. I work for home health and hospice. You don't know how you day will go. Some times I'm not sure if is worth. I ask God every morning for help.

Yes CNAs are very underpaid .We do laundry and cook too!

I don't live in NJ, but hope this reaches top level government officials and they make a change on the national level! I am a CNA in Charlotte, NC and work for 3 agencies and have one private client (4 jobs in all)...I make less than $11 an hour per job, work about 73 hours a week and have very physically difficult clients. I hear your cries, because I have them too. WE NEED HIGHER PAY!!!

We are unable to pay our bills. The cars we need to get to work are being taken back. We work short and the pay sucks. Our bodies are breaking down. Please someone help us.

Over worked, under paid, & under staffed... They wonder why there's a shortage of CNAs out there? Then they make the skills test WAY too hard for some people to pass, after paying for the schooling (upwards of $2,000), & then all the re-test fees just to get paid $9.50/hour? Ridiculous! Pay us $11/hour of there will always be a CNA shortage because we're worth more than $9.50/hr
