This is a Petition Statement to create a facility for all the homeless people in Ventura County. It will be a good idea to provide safety, shelter and will help police in monitoring drug trafficking within the homeless. From what I have experienced, there is a risk in safety for both mentally stable and mentally unstable people around the Ventura county. A lot of it has to do with the influence in these specific drugs (Methamphetamines, crack, heroin, prescription pills, cocaine) and the fact that you have a mentally challenged person in hands reach of these horrible drugs. The community and myself have seen a lot of drugs, violent activity, and unethical behavior near the Ventura fairgrounds and would like to see a change around here and our neighboring areas. We would like to see county and city councils utilize our tax dollars more toward addressed problems like this one other than wasteful meaningless city repairs. The people and our families are more important.
