This Petition is to get the school bus stop moved from the top of the hill down on to the Fox Hill property, for the safety of the children and drivers.
As many of you know the Gateway School Bus stop is at the Top of our main hill.
This is a concern for everyone involved.
Not only do the kids have to walk up there but this has also caused parents to drive up and wait with their children parked on the side of the entrance.
This is a very dangerous situation as the top of the hill is a no parking zone.
With the buildup of cars in the morning it makes it very difficult to enter or exit the property.
Also the Children have to walk down that hill after school with no sidewalk. Which is very dangerous.
We have gone to the school board numerous times to get this bus stop moved, each time meeting the requirements of what they ask.
Only to find out that they had no intention of ever moving it because it will add 2 mins to the bus route.
The Safety of all involved is way more important to us than 2 mins. Especially the children.
As we do not own the hill and the Municipality of Monroeville does we are asking for all the help we can get to present this petition to the mayor and get the bus stop moved.

The school board continues to prioritize those two minutes over the safety of our children on that hill. Reach out to the mayor today and email your representative to demand they address this dangerous traffic situation immediately.

The momentum behind this move is undeniable now. Send an email to the mayor today and demand they prioritize our children over a two minute bus delay.

Please help us keep our children safe. I have 3 children each attending a different school in the district. The earliest boards the bus at 6:30 am when it is usually very dark and at times slippery. The last boards at 8:45 am. The kids, parents, and I have witnessed a car accident at Value City Drive and Northern Pike, just feet away from the bus stop! This could have easily been a car trying to pull out from Fox Hill. I would feel a lot better if they were able to board in a safer location. Thank you.
It is TOO dark in the mornings and it isnt safe for these children to be walking up that huge hill- some of them are often all alone.
I am a lone working parent and would not be able to afford to send my child to school. I live 2.5 miles from nearest high school, it would take my son 1 hr each way to walk to school. This is outrageous .
Great idea and so much safer for all the children in our community.
There are no sidewalks, and, as a result, the kids have a tendency to walk down the middle of the driving lanes. They should be walking along the side against traffic, but they walk the middle of the lane with traffic.
Please change the stop before tragedy occurs.

It's dangerous with the kids walking in the street. I understand they do not want to walk in the grass, it is muddy and squishy and snowy and not taken care of like a sidewalk would be. The only place they can walk is in the street. I have driven down that road and I have slid in my car. Imagine if there was a child walking down that road and my car slid.
