we are competitive figure skaters at the pavilion in greenville, sc. We have one rink near us. The rest are an hour or more away. The county is not funding our ice for us so please help us get thier attention to get our ice back up and running

Reaching this level of support honestly leaves me drained but hopeful. It is exhausting to fight for a place to train every single day. Seeing that so many others see the value in keeping our rink open gives me the strength to keep pushing forward.

I am a figure skater and it's not fair that this was supposed to be fixed 15 years ago. And now that the issue has to be faced the council just brushed it off
Ever since I was a child my school would have field trips to this rink, in 3-4 grade, my friend has always skated here and done competitions with it, and now she has to drive hours to find a good rink, also I have been coming here since I could stand, we really want it back.
I grew up figure skating at the Pavilion. I made so many memories, learned so many lessons, and made lifelong friends here, please keep our only ice rink open and safe for everyone to enjoy!
Please repair our rink, Greenville! Many of us can't afford to go out of state for training.
I know my friend Alyssa is very passionate about skating and to drive an hour and a half and waste all that gas and time is ridiculous. It's a compressor!! Fix the rink and make it a place where not just her team can practice but the hockey team and the others!!! Come on and put a little money into it.
My friends that ice skate do not deserve this.
I have a lot of friends that skate there and they love it it needs to be fixed

Greenville needs an Olympic Size Ice Rink! We really need 2 Olympic Size Sheets of Ice at the Pavilion like we were told we were getting. Now we have Many Many figure skaters driving every week out of state to skate at an ice rink. They are spending money out of state for ice time, coaching fees, food and hotels. Greenville is losing out on all of this money! We need to have an OLYMPIC size rink! If we don't get an Olympic size rink, people will continue to drive out of state to Atlanta or Charlotte. Columbia has an Olympic size rink and Charleston has 2 Olympic size rinks. Why can't Greenville have one? If you build it, they will come!
