Dear Friends,
A major casualty of Corona virus has been the small restaurants and their suppliers. Small restaurants are now forced to down shutters all over India. Some forever and others for weeks if not months.
Small restaurants are the consumer facing contact of the food business ecosystem. Millions of consumers depend on small restaurants for their daily food. These restaurants, run by entrepreneurs and small businesses need to pay rents, salaries, electricity and several other fixed costs. If they are shut, they cannot meet these fixed costs. This has an impact on the entire ecosystem - the chain of suppliers and producers from farm to fork.
Small restaurants and their supply chains need help from the government, right now! Many small businesses in the food space are already gone forever!
Please join me in asking, requesting, begging the government to help Save the small restaurants and their suppliers, the same way it helps farmers, with a bailout, waiving taxes, helping pay rents, salaries, interest, electricity and other fixed expenses, till conditions are normal again.

The economic strain on our local restaurants continues to grow as fixed costs accumulate without adequate revenue. I have spent the last few days meeting with industry professionals to coordinate a more direct appeal to government officials regarding these mounting financial burdens. A formal proposal for rent and tax relief is currently being drafted for submission.

I own a bar and restaurant. I need to pay Rs 7 lakhs as liquor license renewal fees. But I had to close down my restaurant fir COVID 19. The government won’t give any concession in fees amount nor extend deadline for payment. I don’t know what to do.
Restaurant Business has become very competitive add to that the looting by Food Aggregators , Authorities and no input credit from GST paying heavily on Rent Etc . The Last nail to the Coffin is the Corona Virus . PLEASE HELP SMALL BUSINESS SURVIVE TO PAY SALARIES TO THE POOR STAFF , WE are 3 nd highest Employment generating Industry .
Save restaurants future
Like in USA govt has passed law that they can’t be evicted for non payment of rents & providing financial assistance
Please hear our plea as small businesses have suffered a lot of financial losses.

We are also a frozen food supply company to Hotel , Restaurant and Caterers . Our sale declined by more than 95% since the past few days . We have heavy cold storage rentals and saleries to pay . We have already approached our cold storage facilities for relief but have no support from them as they in turn have to pay electricity bills to the Government. We look up to the Government for support at this time so that we can survive this challenging time and no innocent , hard working people of our company have to loose their jobs .
