I am making a petition to show that we need to do more of Animal Abuse. Animal cruelty has become more violent especially involving dogs. I wanted to start this petition to show the government that more people then just me would like something more for punishment when someone abuses an animal. In my research, right now the punishment for animal cruelty such as throwing, kicking, tortured in the state of South Carolina is impriosonment of no less than 180 days and not exceed 5 years and a fine one 5000 dollars, but I don't think that gets us anywhere because more than half of animal abusers are put out with bonds or it never goes through. Abanindoment is punishable by a fine of 200 - 500 dollars or impriosonment to 30 days. Also, in my research it shows that people who abuses animal is most likely to abuse a human. I want to try to stop this and see if animal abusers could possibly have more time in jail and be treated as a person who abused someone.
