ECC have not got a clue about how important these people are. Who ever the jobs worth is that decided that Brian should go ought to be sacked. This person is vital to keeping our kids safe.

On a major road of 40mph where the speed limit is consistently broken we need the lollipop man! Even where there is a crossing further up the road there are always accidents - this job saves lives!

Hullbridge Rd is tricky with hazards. Primary school children and their families should be encouraged to walk to school as part of the healthy schools/ transport policies. This change is likely to encourage parents to bring their children to school by car. So... less opportunity for older primary school children to develop independence and for all families to adopt a healthy lifestyle. There will be more cars on the road and this will increase the number of hazards.

Madness, busy road, parked cars causing blind spots. Are you wanting a child to die?

ECC what a stupid decision. This is a very busy junction to cross - a road that some people speed down and a bus route. Brian makes walking to school a safe option. Without being able to cross safely less children will be walking. Removing our lollypop man means a serious accident is very likely.

This road needs a lollypop man crossing!! What criteria has changed that would make Brian not needed? The road is busy and difficult to cross safely at school start and end times, does someone have to be K.S.I'd to prove it?

I live on Hullbridge Road and my children go to Elmwood School, Brian is a real asset and the kids love him. I would feel much safer if Brian were to stay.

This is a busy road with parked cars on one side. There are a large volume of people crossing the road and difficult to see traffic with the parked cars. Save our lollipop man Brian
