The town has not changed in 15 years so there is no reason for this service to be removed, period.

The road crossing facility is an absolute requirement for this busy and complex junction (adjacent side road, parked cars etc) the man that operates the crossing now is efficient and courteous so I am at a loss as to why he is going.

Both shocked and in dis-belief that this is actually being considered. Having used this route regularly with my two young children on the school run, it is such a busy crossing!! Not only that Brian is such a genuinely good all round guy & is excellent with the children!

My son insist on walking to pre school so here gets to see Brian. I think there will be a huge increase in cars parking at the school if they have to worry about crossing that road. Also can I point out the double decker buses that use that road?? Accidents waiting to happen with no lollipop officer there.

he keeps all our children safe crossing this busy road on our way to school and back home again, an integral part of our community, this will be a travesty if he is removed and totally the wrong decision

How can a criteria not be met when children's lives are at risk - obviously the powers do not know how a risk assessment is properly done and therefore have put children's lives before bureaucracy!!!

Brian is an integral part of the school and should be more valued by the council. If we loose Brian there is a chance there could be an accident I hope the council could live with their desision?

Brian is so needed where he is. He knows pretty much all the kids and parents and an accident WILL happen if he is moved elsewhere. Brian has got to stay.

If they take our crossing patrol man away, I hope those responsible in the council are prepared to live with the possible death of a child, god forbid that that should happen.
