Yet another total stupid decision by ECC. This is simply wrong. Why should the safety of Elmwood children be compromised.

My grandson loves to say hi to Brian but more importantly as well as seeing them safely across a very busy road he also stops parents parking too close to the junction, asking for trouble if they get rid of the lollipop man

Brian's services are invaluable keeping children and families safe. The road is far too busy at school times and removing Brian would lead to an accident.

We have to keep Brian for our safety and sanity he is part of Elmwood and should be allowed to stay looking after the kids. Without Brian not only is it dangerous to cross but also timley as there is constant traffic, and with such a narrow path opposite guys farm road this can easily lead to a build up of pedestrians and an accident will be waiting to happen . KEEP BRIAN!!

I think this is discusting how you can take away this loyal and lovely man who controls the road and it's terrible traffic every morning is beyond me. By not having a lollypop man I's putting The safety and lives or children and adults at risk this is a dangerous Road that people drive at ridiculous speeds. We pay more council tax than most counties in this country and taking him away to save money is ludicrous. This must not happen...

This is outrageous. Brian has been an important part of our community and has served all three of my children from the beginning. Without him, children and possibly adults would be put at serious risk on this busy road. Brian is not just a lollipop man, he is a role model to the children and has become a friend to the majority of people who are lucky enough to see him every morning. Please reconsider this ridiculous decision before a young life is changed or taken

A disgrace to get rid of our lollipop man Brian for this busy road. My daughter goes to this school and I'm happy to know that she's safe in the hands of Brian when needed to cross this road to and from school.

I think the lollipop man does an amazing job at keeping hundreds of children safe, and is a necessity at the extremely busy crossing on hullbridge road. There was a terrible accident there last year, thank god she was ok, and he was absent on this day. I think that says it all!!

As someone who previously went to Elmwood, I can say Brian brightened my day and is probably the reason I haven't been hit by a car yet.
