The Kids need him to help them cross the road safety. There are far too many idiot drivers that drive too quick down hullbridge Road and they are not clearly concentrating while they drive!! Be it speeding, smoking, using phone's, tablets iPads etc. The children need him to help them cross the road safely.

This is an important safety issue and there is no solid argument as to why suddenly this does not meet the required criteria for service provision.

I live in Hullbridge Road. It is treacherous to navigate crossing with childeen and pushchairs, especially at scool times with extra parking, busses and generally heavy traffic. It would be irresponsible to remove lollipop crossing.

I know that road from having lived in SWF there will be a fatal accident if they loose the traditional lollipop man. The other important purpose for Brian that the children look forward to seeing him every day and he no doubt gets the same joy from seeing them

I think the government should leave the lollipop people alone. Roads are full off impatient and arrogant drivers, even when lollipop people are on the crossings cars still attempt to "sneak" past or get across quickly before the lollipop person steps out. Imagine what would happen if they weren't there. They are a welcome and safe place to cross a road. They are people, who have feelings, who are earning money to run their homes, who are stressed and worried about losing their jobs. They are friendly, they are concerned and determined to keep people safe. Why get rid if them? They can't earn much? I wish the local councils would stop saving money to pay for their own allowances, their taxi rides home. Perhaps if they stop claiming for so much, there would be enough money to keep communities safe. Keep our lollipop people. Put police in the street. Keep lights on. Pay for more TAs in schools, inject more money into poor schools. I say sack useless allowance claiming MPs, they are who are wasting our tax payers money. Short sighted fools, might look good now, but the future is looking bleak.
