Every school should have a Brian! Hulbridge Road is very busy and it is essential that Brian's valuable service to the community continues.

this is a terrible decision by the school. Brian is an amazing person to want to keep our children safe of the road. All schools near busy roads should have a lollipop man or lady

I live on Hullbridge road and the buses have increased in size and speed over the years, so when two come at once , one has to drive on the pavement. He helped my kids cross and still does even though ones at wdf. Save Brian!

What's wrong with extra safety? What if you had a child that crosses that road everyday and you decide to get rid of the lollipop man, the next day there had been a hit and run and your child was involved?

I have used the crossing with Brian from 1998 until 2013 - my 3 boys have been able to become a little independent in year 6 because we knew Brian was there to see them across an extremely busy road - this would not have been possible if a lollipop man wasn't there. Brian is there morning & night with a smile on his face.

Brian has always gone beyond being just our lollipop safety man.
He actually cares about the children and their safety.
Dedication is hard to find nowadays and who ever is making this silly decision needs sacking themselves
Pure stupidity.

Brian does a wonderful job of keeping our precious ones safe on that busy road - this is a lazy and negligent decision. Well done Essex county council.

This would be an absolute travesty if this happens and completely detrimental to the safety of children and adults at Hullbridge Road. Due to the straight road cars travel at great speed along that stretch, Brian is integral to the continued safety on that road.

It is ridiculous that it is deemed a lollipop man is not required at this site......it is an incredibly busy road and this is a dangerous decision

I have lived here for nearly 46yrs. It took over 25yrs of parents campaigning for a lollipop man before the council acknowledged that one was needed. Since then other schools in the area have also got one.
