Children's safety should always be a top priority!

It's a busy road which need a presence to help children and parents cross safely during peak periods.

Brian always made my day no matter what happened at school and I still wave to him now. For kids walking to school on their own Brian gives parents peace of mind and hulbridge road is very dangerous on the school run!

Totally ridiculous to remove Brian the lollypop man from this post, it is a fast busy road. Removing Brian will result in an accident.

I am absolutely Discusted with the County Councils decision, Brian has been Our crossing warden for years looking after our primary school Children's safety but our William de ferrers school children , having been a Past Chair of PTA & Chair Governors at Elmwood Primary School , Brian has always been an active member of the schools community and goes above and beyond in all weathers . I can only see this withdrawal of his post will ultimately end in a serious or fatal accident .

Absolutely disgusting that they are doing away with a Lollipop man on Hullbridge Road, clearly the people who make these ridiculous decisions do not have children or or if they do, do not walk their child/ten to school!

Small financial cuts cost lives. Go down to the crossing and see for yourselves!

Absolutely disgraceful putting all our children's life at risk. Was going to let my daughter start walking soon won't be able to if no Brian. Sort it out Chelmsford Council what will it take someone to be killed before you act.

This is a busy road, it's not going to be easy for children and families to cross safely without Brian being there. How many motorists are going to stop and let people cross.? How long before there is an accident ?

Brain is amazing and the place wouldn't be safe without him. HE MUST STAY!!!

Many children at Elmwood rely on this service to give them the independence of walking to school unaccompanied. Likewise parents with younger children rely on this crossing to ensure they are able to concentrate on their children rather than having to ensure oncoming traffic is stopping for them. Crazy to suggest that this very busy road will remain safe without a crossing patrol.
