A street festival is great for the community and families. Not sure why it would be cancelled. Especially on the 375the anniversary, where lots of money was meant to be available for community events???? Bring it back!

These festivals build up the NDG community. Great for kids. Great place to spend time with neighbors in an informal setting. Let's bring the festivals back! I think it would be acceptable to simply end the amplified stages at 11 or 12 and to limit outside merchants... Though the food trucks were great. There is no other event in NDG (that I know of) that brings the food trucks to our neighborhood.

I enjoy the festivals. Lots of fun for the residents of NDG and good for the merchants (although there are perhaps too many outside businesses that participate). If the noise is done by 10/11 pm and limited to weekends, I have no problem with these festivals!

I follow some of the consensus here that it would be nice to have the festival evolve to be community, local, artisan, arts, creative based. There's so many of these types of people in NDG and it would be excellent to have a fest to highlight and showcase this hotbed of talent.

Live on Old Orchard Ave and really loved the festivals. It's a shame they got cancelled this year. I really hope they can bring them back with only two changes: more focus on local businesses and no rock music after a certain hour? Heard comments that we needed them to be more for people in the neighborhood vs outside of the neighborhood and I don't know why it's bad to have others enjoy Monkland. It's good to have others come and see what we have to offer.

There's a way to scale it to keep it a community-based festival, I am sure of that. Accent on our vibrant arts community would be welcomed. Maybe less imported food trucks and more local restos. Ask for permission to borrow Willingdon Elementary's yard for an extended weekend venue for displays, kids activities?? It's a real community event that deserves to evolve.

The Monkland Street Fest is an excellent time for local businesses to make money, to draw new people to the neighbourhood and generally have a good time with other members of the community.
