I've had a studio in Dace Road for 28 years and seen numerous, incredible changes. It should now be protected as the fabulously creatve area that its become and not destroyed ,as most creative hubs are, once developers move in.

hackney has an international reputation as a place for creativity and originality. it should be protected against commercial interest, which has dominated this area in recent years.

The beating heart of a city is it's cultural center. Hackney wick needs protection from the greedy developer looking to build out of place residential buildings at the cost to those working and living in this unique area.

Hackney Wick and Fish Island make the perfect creative compliment to the Olympic Park. It would be a great shame and missed opportunity if the area where to lose its creative character.

I am writing to fully support the proposal. As both a resident, and a business owner, in Hackney Wick and Fish island respectively, I wholeheartedly agree with the points for conservation raised in the planning document. I live in Oslo House, Felstead Street, E9 and also run the London Centre for Book Arts, based in Britannia Works, which has now been open over a year. The area has already suffered from ill-advisd and inappropriate development(s), and I do hope that the conservation area extension helps to negate this problem. I would also like to suggest that consideration is given to an extension of the proposal - to extend the conservation area at the south east side - to include the wooded area and boundary wall either side of the Greenway / sewer bridge

I have lived in London for 20 years and seen artists improve areas then have to move out due to development. Hackney Wick is an important community for artists in London and essentially for the well being of Londons artistic and cultural future.

There's nowhere in London with the character that Hackney wick has, it's such a unique, vibrant place. It' be a tragedy to see this lost.

You're slowly sucking away all the creative and cultural environments of the country. STOP and LOOK at the arts created and crafted in the area. Even tourists are coming to the area to see what the Buzz is about. Tourism is still business for you guys.
