We saw how fast faceless blocks were erected that grabbed and privatised the water edge in the run up to 2012. We must protect that which escaped this treatment.

There's little enough 'non-digital' creative activity around these days -oasis like these MUST be preserved

It seems so medieval to just turf people out when this has become the melting pot of creativity for many years, where do you plan to relocate everybody?

Hackney Wick and Fish island are a hub of creativity, without which London would be culturally a lot poorer. It is also a very beautiful area, in its own way, and still attracts many people of all sorts of creative backgrounds, a place whereideas are exchanged, people meet, festivals are held, and galleries are opened on a temporay basis for the benefit of all Londoners. The council has taken a very laudable decision in tyring to conerve this and I fully support this initiative.

I support the extension of fish island conservation area. It is a unique place to work and if looked after will become so for many generations.

Oh dear... yet more bland executive housing at the cost of art and culture? Please do not lose this important and diverse side of what makes London so brilliant!

we cannot let insensitive development stem the creative tide that is building in the area. careful planning and empathy are required for successful development: we may not be able to stop it but let us all hope that we can help guide it.

As someone commission to make art for the Olympic Park it would be highly ironic if I then had to move with the change of use of the area.
